The Contention

Cold light, the stars
The moon’s a pale rider
Crossing the blackness
Silence as if waiting
Gray once life was shining
A green lost to time
A time that was, yet is soon
Again
I trek the barren empty
Pace the lost memories
Like so many leaves scattered
Though, a footfall marks an
Essence of futility
The souls pass me, for an instant, I
almost saw it the
Spectres evident
Movement, the dance
of renewal
Continued I recalled
The pages moving the
Story
For an instant released
Then, like a window it
closed
I was left standing
Alone
Until I was one
Passing beyond this place
A Shadow , A Leaf A

Spilt Dreams..

ravage the ever suffering
soul, the lost determination
damnable the wandering
heart, it grieves a lost dream
love that was spilt on the ground, leaves scattered to
the wind,
we pass the weathered hill, remnate of the angered sky
Its heat poured on the ground
With determination, to sunder the haughty heights
A respite not found, no not one
Lightning and Thunder revealed
A bleak existence, long after the deed was done, the sting still welts, the rash actions reminded, as the rain fell to the
darkened world
The hill, relented it’s arrogance
The grass was moved by the wind
The trees, stood witness, to the event
The rocks, said nothing at
All

Shattered

The broken pieces scattered
Her soul ripped
Torn asunder
Her loss written on her heart
As the coffin lowered
A part her went with it
As if sensing her pain
The sky broke open
It’s tears reflected in her
Eyes…

A Solitary Man

I am a man
Alone in my pain
Never allow to show
weakness
I didn’t grow up that
way

I am a man
My feelings remain on
the inside
Because I was taught
not to cry or show
them

I am a man among men
who were raised just
like me, alone we stand
together

I am a man
Who will fight for
family, country,freedom
but love between brothers
is seen as weakness

I am a man
Who will give to my
wife, hold my children
work until I fall from
exhaustion
yet,she will never
truly understand me

I am a man
Who will walk a
lonily path
Only another man
Understands

We are men
brothers who silently
face our fate
our pain
our struggle
together, yet
alone

I am a man

We Aren’t Real..And Yet..

I found this place from another light
Rest today, we travel by
Night
Don’t wonder who we are
We hide from your sight
We were here from the
Start
Come closer..yes we bite
From a tunnel we created
We will keep you safe until
We get back to our deep
Ground estate
Then you will be a guest
Of honor at a banquet
Divine..the very last
Sight you will see are
Our slit eyes, as we serve
You to our real guests
Bonappetite
Were not Human.
We are the Elite.

Saline Dreams and Clouded Realities

What felt like a dream.. became my reality
As I learned the fate of the sky
Sundered from below
A sea of scattered mistakes
Became evident,as the clouds
rose from man, not nature
We thought it was frivolous
Yet, not even in a dream could we envision
The fate caused man, as he in his arrogance tried to
Make more money, and his ego, failed him
The failure rose from his disaster painting the sky
Causing my saline dreams
To become a tear filled truth
As their lies spread across the nation’s
Urgent hands grasped for answers, as the storm clouds
Gathered, they wrung their hands, as the oceans receded
They, feared the sky
As the Earth judged them
The sky would carry out
the sentence
All will learn their actions
As the rain began to
Fall

Span Of Dreams

Spanning time, the metal high
A wonder of the ages, the water below
It connects the earth, to the sky
A creation of awe
Made by man
Yet, cloaked in mist, as if
A walk way of gods
Crossing the spaces
Of the places between
A span of dreams
Made real by the human
Hand.

A Memory, And The Rain

A grey day, clouds owned
The sky
As rain, a metaphor hid
The land in fog and shadows
A smile crept across her face
A memory of another time
A picnic, Sun tea, and youth
not so long ago, yet half a lifetime
past since that day
Her hair dark, the years had not dampened
The beauty, she was graced with
The memory lingered a moment longer
As a single ray of sunlight broke through
the clouds to landed on her face as
if you remind her, that was another time
The smile remained, as she let go of
the past, to focus on the present..and
then..the
Future.

Beauty, Not Diminished

Beauty, Not Diminished

The color of the soul
Green in depths of
Wonder
Lost at times, alone
In a place.. of
Contridiction and confusion
It didn’t begin this way
There were sunny days
Where promise was all
around.. yet somehow
someway, it all changed
Nothing is like it was
Though darkness is
coming
The light can’t be extinguished,
Because even if you can’t see
The Son..
He’s still there.

The Insanity We See

Crazy, what’s the point
Lost in my own mind
Alone in a heartless
place
Where someone else
designed my destiny
I watch as the universe
changes
Before my very eyes
What was is not
What is should not
be
A tone stands between
me and sanity
My frequency is not
attuned
As the world moves
changing
In ways I can hardly
comprehend
I am shown that
what is, is fluid as
water
I reach out for the
answer
As it slips through
my fingers
Like smoke, I see
It
And.. then
it’s
Gone
It begins again
