The Grand Illusion

Walking the nether path in silence
As the year came and went
Alone in my own continence
Adrift in my own perception
Seeking reason in chaos
Seeking solace in the shadows of human indecision
I kept moving forward
Hoping for the moral high ground
Seeking the spark to show reason
As the wicked injustice swirls on the paths periphery
Revealing that though the truth had come
The denizens still bask in their own ignorance
Rejoiced in their own filth
Believed their own diatribe
Reveled in their own darkness
I witnessed their great sickness
I lamented their hopeless state
So lost, their own evil eluded them
As they ran to and fro aimlessly, believing themselves free
Even as the shackles tripped them and they fell
They cheered their own magnificence
Even as the darkness engulfed them
Even as their essence was destroyed
A moment at a time
A decision at a time
Their souls perished
As they cheered their own damnation
I was forced to watch their decent
And….
Their demise…
As I moved forward
Shedding tears
I couldn’t show them
And tears they couldn’t
See…

Echos in the Wind

Echos from the past call to me
I hear it in the wind
During the storm
Moving through the trees
Memories of other times
Other people
Whose names I don’t recall
I was there
Many different faces,
Places…
Each time I stepped
through the doorway, I came again
My energy, like the rocks, the trees, and the sky, was eternal
Each time a new song, though the melody remained the same
In the end , the same fear, same longing to understand
That replayed , again , and again
Am I meant to learn some lessons
Reach some level of wisdom
Or simply to experience
To simply be alive
Both birth and death are modalities
Doorways…
And we…. are
The traveler’s
Left to wonder the true nature
Of the journey
As well as the reason
We came in the first place

Fears And Realities

Finite, the time you have to ponder
Purpose, meaning
As we pass from day to day
Wondering why we came
Why do we remain
As the hours pass in constant pace
I get up to wash my face
Looking for meaning in everything
Like I have a chance to span the decades
With some great wisdom or insight
As the years tick by in continuous fashion
I watch my time leave me behind
An anachronism of another place
Another time
I tried to find a deeper purpose
Aside from simply being
While it’s true, there are wonders and mysteries
Six decades in, and I still don’t know where I came from
Or where I will go when I leave
It’s not the birth or death that is to fear
It’s just the unknown that gives pause
Heaven or Hell
Like blue sky’s or Grey
It’s having no way of knowing, not really
If we are indeed finite, our life’s time fleeting
Or are we eternal?  Do we go on when we transform
Are we simply solidified light?
Or are we more?
Once our times come
And … we pass through the door?

Darkest Before The Dawn

I once feared the darkness
As twilight took the sky
I shouted my frustration to the shadows
As they took over the nether spaces
Threatened by the night… and it’s denizens
Until I remember it’s always darkest
Right before the dawn
I stood against the unknown demons
With the promise of the coming salvation
Of the light
As breaking dawn conquers  the dark chains that held the world with its unseen madness
The final victory will come
Only with it’s vanquishing
And banishment
By the rising of the
Sun

When Will Just Truth Be All That Is Seen

When will the truth ever be
What everyone only sees
Lost in the chaos and revelry
Is this all we will ever be?

Lies were truth
As insanity shined through
As the government ordained it
The media did, too

Years were lost to ideologically weak willed
People lost hope , and wokism sealed the deal
They didn’t even know who they were
In a mind prison without a single bar

Decades of planning to kill the dream
Of the men, the women and their seed
To eliminate the population,  globalists took the lead
Ninety eight percent of the population they decided we didn’t need

Our so-called leaders have become seditious haters of the people and the land
As they horde taxpayer funds and against the represented, they stand
They thought they created a lasting world empire it’s based on shifting sand

One last chance was given by unanimous demand
The majority of the people made a stand
Forced the tone deaf politicians hand
Calling for real change to our land
And… America First was their plan.

The Truth,The Narrative,The Propaganda, And The News of the Lie

In the face of the darkness
The fools accuse the shadows
The blind man knows the truth
In the moment of indecision
Your opinion is speculation
As you judge from your own head
Missing the truth right in front of you
Dismissing the obvious
In favor of the Lie
They told you to believe
Without a sliver of reason, why
You accepted the spin
The narrative is fiction….
Fed with conviction
Repeated unceasingly
Their mouths betray their purpose
As the truth draws near
The Jackels flee
Or repent on bended knee
Their part in the conspiracy
As they point , accusation in evidence
Toward him or her or me
Never once actually speaking the truth
The enemy was within
With the lie laid bare
We see…
The enemy was
Thee.

Woke

Did you sell your humanity
For an ideology
Are you virtue signaling  the pain you cause
In the midst of your narcissistic victimhood
Cry, with a shout, as you abandon your morality
To show your friends your dedication
As you burn down the world
Watching the children die
Watching the people lie
As the country falls to ruins
You sip your Starbucks,
Texting your sacrifices on your iPhone
As the world goes to war
And the bombs begin to fly
You can signal your liberal colors
While the rest of humanity dies.

In the Darkness, They Just Can’t See

Did you think you would tell
Your kids, why did you did what you did
Burn down a town
Stole a person’s life
A handbag at a time
A jacket, and a pair of shoes too

Can you explain how you sold your morals for gold
Justify the pain, as you ideologically explain
The reasons you lived in a society of distain
Your country , you made an enemy,  as the rampaged and acted insane

Believing the wrong was right
The bad was good
Will you justify the crown of thorns
And, the bleeding wound
You foisted on the righteous as a necessary evil
As demons weren’t there with tails and horns
But , they carried signs and burned flags

When your time comes to explain, will you finally take responsibility
Of the pain you caused, the lives irrevocably changed
Or will you just pass the blame?

In the Shadow of the Screen

Each day, we live our lives alone
Except for the flicker of the screen
Words appear and disappear
Signs of life
Promises of a future not alone
Yet we are
Nothing is promised
Nothing is guaranteed
Only moments of time in the flicker of the screen
As silent promises
Shadows of hope
In the endless days of silence
To act as shining beacons
Representing dreams yet experienced
And , loves yet achieved.

Pain and Pleasure: Two Sides of The Same Coin

Life is filled with pain
We face it every day
But if your love is strong enough
We can all just suck it up

Looking for the sunlight
But we all have to face the rain
If you are happy for just one night
Even when the six others are sad?

We’re all looking for the dream
So we can skim the cream
But if you never have had the bad
How will you know when to be glad?

Life is exactly what it is
Do you see it as it is
Or interpret it another way?
Living in your head another day?

Waiting for the perfect way
When the world all agree with what you say?
Do you believe it’s coming that day?
Or will it come to stay, the pain?

Then you realize where the truth lay?
That it never mattered what you say
Do we simply relive the same day?
Or is the pain the point of it anyway?

In the end , it lets us know we are alive
And… that was the reason you were allowed to experience pleasure.
