I remember her hands holding mine
In the midst of the storm, the rain
was cold, yet her voice kept me warm
The images flash like a kaleidoscope
Colors rather than images

My heart sang as we huddled under
the small umbrella, the memory lives
In my mind, as a laugh, echoed, I am there
The smells, the sensation of hope
I had never felt this before

Some have lived an entire life, and never
known this, this sensation, this experience
In youth, I had felt lust, I had never known
This, this woman in her youth touched me
and it was if my entire life before this was
meaningless..

Before, this day, before the rain, before her
smile, I held on to her hand on that day
So long ago, in my youth, I remember it still
I could live a thousand lifetimes, and die a
thousand deaths, and never experience
another perfect moment..

Such as this..

In the rain, running down the street laughing
Laughing, about our foolishness..revelling in
our youth.. alive in that moment, a flash of
a smile..
I remember that day
I remember that feeling
I remember her hands in mine
I remember..
