I am separated
I can’t reach it no matter
How hard I try
Those who know it
Cruelly at times
Flaunt my plight
For a time I thought
It was freedom
A banner to fly
Yet, it became a
Burden which weighed
Like chains of my
Own forging, my own
Hand
It alienated, at times
Left me alone
In a prison that
I could not escape
Hidden, was the pain
I could not share
So, I endured it
Quietly
I watched stars pass
By me, the beauty I
Could not partake
Joy, was a stranger
I bore witness
The wonder, beyond
My grasp
Though the full moon
Was A thing to behold
I had to turn my back
As she left her place
To commune with
Another Consort
Leaving the sky
I stood there
Bearing witness to
Her departure
All she left behind
Was
Darkness
