Broken now the great city
Like Rome, and Babylon
Who came before it
Stone upon stone
Brick upon brick
The bulwark
Set ablaze by the
Barbarians
The Anarchist
Whose mission was
To destroy
The bloodied bodies
Lay in the streets
Their cars, burnt
Their property
Gone
Lies, their truth
Fear a commodity
They dealt in..
Hoping none would
Challenge
Them
Black cloth,
With blacker hearts
Mercenaries, paid
For destruction
No more freedom
No more History
Takedown the past
To force a totalitarian
Future
A once great idea
A dream for mankind
To build their own destiny
Ripped Asunder
By evil
The Barbarians are not
At the gates any longer
No, they have entered
The city..
They are now burning
The dreams of many
As the smoke ascends
So too their futures
Lost
And, if not stopped
It’s our generations
Who will suffer
For our inability
To stop this destruction
We were as guilty
As those who perpetrated
This Chaos, because we
Stood by and didn’t act
The fires died out
As the wind blew away
The remnants of our
Civilization
It also blew away our
Future with it
May God have mercy
On our seed in perpetuity
That though we failed
May they succeed.
