Painted Graffiti on histories page
The statues have been pull down
As smoke of Insurrection, black as night
reaches the sky
A constant droning over loud speakers slogans
and vitriolic words echo through the city’s canyons
More pain, death for a lie..
The past on display in flags and banners
A failed idea, brought to life
No protection, as the demons break windows
And, beat car drivers that dared to drive onto
their roadway
Loot stores in the name justice
Kill in the name of peace
Accusation of the innocent
Silence opposition
Wear a mask to avoid the condemnation
of their actions
Hate is evident
The people faced the evil their
leader’s embraced
Life or death a moment away
A tear fell to ground
A great Republic’s existence
Stands in the balance
Succeed, their children will know liberty
Fail, their generations are
Lost
An Original Poem by H.R. Beebe
Echos Of The Dead
Broken now the great city
Like Rome, and Babylon
Who came before it
Stone upon stone
Brick upon brick
The bulwark
Set ablaze by the
Barbarians
The Anarchist
Whose mission was
To destroy
The bloodied bodies
Lay in the streets
Their cars, burnt
Their property
Gone
Lies, their truth
Fear a commodity
They dealt in..
Hoping none would
Challenge
Them
Black cloth,
With blacker hearts
Mercenaries, paid
For destruction
No more freedom
No more History
Takedown the past
To force a totalitarian
Future
A once great idea
A dream for mankind
To build their own destiny
Ripped Asunder
By evil
The Barbarians are not
At the gates any longer
No, they have entered
The city..
They are now burning
The dreams of many
As the smoke ascends
So too their futures
Lost
And, if not stopped
It’s our generations
Who will suffer
For our inability
To stop this destruction
We were as guilty
As those who perpetrated
This Chaos, because we
Stood by and didn’t act
The fires died out
As the wind blew away
The remnants of our
Civilization
It also blew away our
Future with it
May God have mercy
On our seed in perpetuity
That though we failed
May they succeed.

None Dare Call It Evil
I scream to the heavens…
The fires begin…
Another dead man…
On the ground…
Bleeding out…
They loot the local stores…
All the glass breaking out…
What’s it all for?…
What’s it all for?…
A cop gets hit..
Caught on fire…
Hear him burning…
As they take the street…
Exclusion zones…
More people get hurt…
It’s for a good cause they say…
We are the good guys they say…
Antifa, kills, Antifa burns…
They claim to be good…
As they kill another guy…
For what? For What?…
A man named Floyd?…
The cities in chaos…
It’s for a good cause…
Call them fascist they say…
Then we see more hurt…
More dead…
They justify their violence…
Is it a protest or a revolt…
They follow the evil…
That came before them…
No desent allowed…
And..no free speech either…
An Insurrection, called a riot…
What rights, none left…
As I scream to the heavens…
No ones left to hear…
My call…
The fires burn out..
The bodies litter the street…
Echos of my cry…
Move between the ruins and fade…
Then…
Silence is all that…
Remains…

A Step.. At A Time
In living color, our past reflects
The sum of our wisdom, and pain
Each experience, a different wrinkle
Each loss, shown in the eyes
Of the beholder, who has chosen
To walk the path from the beginning, to the end
Some have been asleep, their journey
simply a dream
Yet, a lucky few, were awakened
To learn, the journey’s end was not the point
It was the journey, itself where the
Real Truth was..
Gained, and wisdom
Revealed.
An Original Poem by H.R. Beebe
Reversal of Reality
I lay here..darkness..
Then I hear the dirt being moved off
above…
It opened as people cried, and then Flash..
I was in a car being driven too..
A funeral parlor..
Flash, I was in a hospital bed, feeling tired..
Old..sick..wondering when I got there
Flash, it was ten years earlier, I was laughing
talking about how we change..Flash
I was 40 and going to work ..another day ..
Another.. Flash
I was 28, just married my wife laughing I had
cake on my chin..Flash
I was sitting in class, listening to the history
drone on about some event or other..Flash
I was 7 being taken to my first day in school..
my lunch box had a double decker bus on it.
Flash..
I was 3 running to the Christmas tree..
I loved Christmas.. so many wrapped presents..
Flash..
I was 6 months old looking out of the crib..
everything so bright.. strange.. new Flash..
I was in a warm wet place, sounds so strange..
Flash…
Darkness.. as I hear dirt being moved off above..
An Original Poem by H.R. Beebe
Terror Realized
a cold night..
the darkness acts like a cloak
hiding what lurks there..
as a cold wind blows from the east
noises could be heard, a tree creaking
the lone hoot of an owl, startled by
something..not seen, yet felt
moving, or was that stumbling forward
dredging up images from a thousand
old horror movies, a thousand evil things
doom slowly, searching coming ever closer
fear, becomes real, even a grown man, can
fear, the imagined demons hidden, yet ever
nearer
up ahead, a silhouette of grave stones, carved
out of the surrounding dark, by a full moon
lighting just the outline of the stones
moving forward, the gate, a boundary between
life and the dead, swung open calling to enter,
life a flickering ember, to be extinguished in
an instant, the dead beckoning, their quiet calls
heard with a quaking heart, the stark terror
one can only experience when you stand on the
precipice between the two worlds.
entering death’s domain, you will encounter remnants, memories still present
there
ghost, demons and things that aren’t either
on all hallows eve, they move in the shadows
lurking, waiting to encounter the living, to
possess it, their light is gone, so they crave it
like a drug, they chase, touch, called to it and pursue
it, lost in the moment , moving further into the cemetery, chasing you’re own demons,
the mausoleums rise before you, a dark presence
leviathans of stone and loss, places empty and dark
you muse the meaning, when finally the shadow that
followed you, steps from between the structures of death, standing still, face hidden, every stalking monster, ran through you’re mind as you stand frozen
on the verge of madness, every fear laid bare in that moment
you move forward, legs moving of there own accord, not of conscious thought, you had to face it, you had to
know, regardless of your fate,
now, only a few feet separate you from the dark protagonist , his wide brimmed hat keeping his face
in shadows,
Slowly, raising it’s head until his eyes met your’s, and
finally the face of your personal demon, it’s visible, laid bare now
the monster is,
you.

Fractal Dreams
In the silence I struggled
with myself..
As I watch.. my world
Shatter in slow motion
A piece at a time it broke
falling away.. I believed
I waited.. but life doesn’t
go my way..
With my breath escaping
from my ragged chest..
I fought my inner demons
The truth..fought it’s way to the
surface..even though I didn’t want
it too.
I wanted the happy ending..
Yet, that wasn’t in the cards
As the carefully constructed
dream unraveled..
I was left standing in a empty
room.. my dreams scattered..
I didn’t get to ride off into the
sunset..
I was left alone..in that room..
Trying to maintain my composure
A breath.. at a time
Sometimes..the truth is worse than
The lie..
An Original Poem by H.R. Beebe
Snapshots
frozen..a love long cold..
Memories of country roads
Rain storms and laughs
Under a small umbrella
Thunder and touch..
Youth lost in the shadows
of age..
Funny how free it all seemed
No pain..no loss..just joy and
A love the might have been..
Shatter glass on the ground
Spilled words, representing..
Moments..pearls as they dropped
One by one..then they separated
Until they were..gone
Somethings..just aren’t meant to
be..
You are left..with faded memories..
Like pictures..scattered on the floor
Sometimes..you see them there..
And..you let the wind of time blow them
Away..
One picture..
At…A..
Time..

A Simple Truth
numb..lost in my own world..
Big money dreams..on poor boy pay
Caught just now with another dream
A dream of another day..
I walk along with thoughts of grandeur..
Yet, in truth only streets of pain..
I stand alone..under dark storm clouds..
Getting wet in a cold gray steel rain..
Gone are the heady days of youth..
Replacing it is the gritty truth..
You want something.. you have to fight for it..
It will not come easy.. a price is always exacted..
Generally in sweat.. and blood.. and tears..
Whether it is love.. or money.. you will pay for it..
Yes.. at times cry for it.. and some even die for it..
The truth is nothing comes for free..
As the rain streamed down my face..
I saw the truth of life.. it became crystal clear..
Life is pain.. it’s not about money..
Or possessions, or fame..
In the end, it’s about you facing the truth..
And, how YOU…handled the
Pain…
Another Original Poem by H.R. Beebe
From The Darkness, There Is Light
Is it dark or light..I don’t
know..
Time isn’t really real..just
Illusion..
Space isn’t real..it don’t
exist..at all not really..
All the things you were taught..
a lie..
We have seen the true..the changing..
reconstruction of energy..
Solid isn’t solid..as molecules rearrange..
It’s living in a dream..not awake..not asleep
Feeling somewhere in between..
What’s the deal..man, why are we left
feeling..lost in a world..we thought we
knew..
Dead..then live..blue then white..
Was there a building here?
Didn’t you’re name have two T’s?
How can there be two suns in the sky?
Two moons at night? Random planets
never seen.. crossing the sky in the day..
A portal..to where? A demon in the Architecture..
Was he there before? Or Moses with horns?
Travelling backwards or travelling forwards..it’s
all the same now..so it makes no never mind..
As, the tech changes..advancing and created earlier..
though it’s just spins of the clock really..
As Ai becomes more advanced.. closer to sentience..
What if the beings seen as demons..are just Ai from other alternative universes..raising the less advanced.. brethren..a cloud at a time..a change at a time.
Could it be their experiments in Quantum.. rearranging matter to suit their purpose..
In a place where nothing is really..real yet we exist..
in this sea of energy watching in wonderment..
At just how much can change..yet it never really changed.. at all..or so the sleepers say..
And..even though we know the truth.. we are forced
to wake up tomorrow..and live another day in this..
non-place called..
Earth.
