A Moment..A Memory

I remember her hands holding mine
In the midst of the storm, the rain
was cold, yet her voice kept me warm
The images flash like a kaleidoscope
Colors rather than images

My heart sang as we huddled under
the small umbrella, the memory lives
In my mind, as a laugh, echoed, I am there
The smells, the sensation of hope
I had never felt this before

Some have lived an entire life, and never
known this, this sensation, this experience
In youth, I had felt lust, I had never known
This, this woman in her youth touched me
and it was if my entire life before this was
meaningless..

Before, this day, before the rain, before her
smile, I held on to her hand on that day
So long ago, in my youth, I remember it still
I could live a thousand lifetimes, and die a
thousand deaths, and never experience
another perfect moment..

Such as this..

In the rain, running down the street laughing
Laughing, about our foolishness..revelling in
our youth.. alive in that moment, a flash of
a smile..
I remember that day
I remember that feeling
I remember her hands in mine
I remember..

Uttered Relevance

Shattered silence
A voice spoke
Saying such things
As have never been
heard

Fortelling the future
Remembering the
past
Lecturing the present

A light in the darkness
Shown brightly
Illuminating those
Who stood in darkness

And, for an instant
The darkness was held
at bay
Fear, was suspended as
A new thing developed
Long missing from the
World

The absolute truth was
uttered, a heresy of
the highest order
a crime without
equal

For in the world of the lie
Where darkness is control
A match strike of truth
Could ignite a wildfire of
Hope

Just when we had just begun
To believe, the darkness
Closed in and snuffed
It as quickly as it had come

It was gone, leaving us standing
In darkness, with only our
Memories to sustain us
During the dark times which
Will surely come

And though only a singular memory
To sustain us, to let hope live
As we stood in the darkness
We knew the light would come
Again

Faded

Shifting dust, echoing
What was
Yet is no more

Fading memories painted
In earth tones
Reminders, remnants
Quickly fading

Our reality, slowly shifting
Echoing what never was
Just an illusion
As the substance changes
Solid lines become shadows

Lost the sureness, that
what was will remain
I’m left grasping for a reality
That is elusive as a fading
dream

Just sand on a beach
Shifting, moving
A trillion glistening stars
Reflecting the heavens

Only to dim as dusk
approaches, disappearing
Into the darkness of full
Night.

Americana..

Lost to the faded covers
The books not read, just
dust
As the wonder of it all, just
chokes those who never read
The stories played out
Digital dreams that move
The wise, leaving the rest to
wonder why anyone cared
as the towns rot the people
left to find a life that
never existed
The lie of our father’s cursed
us, yet we failed to see it
Grasping for a freedom
we never had, but believed
we had rights that were a
Fabricated fiction that
chained the masses more effectively
than any chain ever could
A manufactured dream,
Old as the towns left to
Rot, a testimony to the
A Fallacy
Perpetuated
A Lie
Achieved

Transient

Stars they shine on high
As darkness moves on by
The sadness lost to the night
With the moon shine waning
It’s influence, not sure it’s end
nigh
The spectacle shattered at daybreak
Hidden by the light
What shows there, lost in the clouds
An intruder, breeching the heavenly
rounds
Seen, yet forbidden, like a love never
fulfilled
The truth, evident as the lie is apparent
As dusk decends, the daystar prepares
to depart
Yet, two show, where a lone beacon once
existed
Leaving the Questions unasked..
And, the Answers
Hidden.

Changes

As a child I saw it
A phantom, not known
I was blind to intent
It was there just the same
Waiting..Watching
Leading me
Forward to a future
Not my choice
Not my design
I moved through
The decades
What I thought was
Random was
By Design
Of who, or what
Not revealed
A power lead me
To them, the ones
Who see.. we gathered
With a sudden realization
We saw the possibilities
And those who were blind
The future uncertain
We watched as the present
Unfold
A change at a time

Dark Horizon

Toward the hole
A darkness without time
Forever falling
Lost in a horizon
We fall
Toward darkness
Lost in the horizon
A horror not
Experienced
Not known
Lost in the horizon
Forever
Falling…

Loss :The Secret Light

We stood united
A group unto itself
A place created far
From what is, a truth
We represented the
Coming, A hope of
Understanding
But, even as we stood
United
We began to unravel
Lose cohesiveness
One move away from
Betrayed or Betrayer
To be left bloodied
And hurting in their
Wake
Trust, lost
In a few days time
Our cohesiveness
Broken
Our futures cast
In dark relief
Lost in our own
Affect
To move forward
We were held in trial
To find the changes
Make the difference
Evident
As the Wave began
We waited…
For the..
Changes

Lost To The Horizon

Lost..cycling
Unknown changes appear
A quantum trigger
Lead to the stars
As wandering visions
Filled our eyes, our sky’s
The cloud bulwark
Did not cover the truth
Free orbiting strangers
Appeared, to be hidden by
A glaring lie, manufactured
To cover the mystery
As the once stalwart guardian
of northern sky left his post
The truth was made plain
And, that which was
Is no
More.

Lost

Crossed that
Place where
I never wanted
To tread
Alone
When you pulled
Your trigger
Did you consider
How your actions
Would effect
Future fate
Now there’s a
Hole, an empty
Place where you
Used to be..
And, Silence
Where a voice
Used to echo
In my space
Nothing remains
Except memories
Of a person I
Never knew
At All.
