A question of trust when there is no reason
Your actions are louder than your words
Your thoughts were faithful
But the visual said more
It was just an act
Fiction staged for the masses
But , your movements spoke more
As did the touches , and the glances
As you shared the stage
And you shared the food
And you shared the moments
And the kisses, too
What is real? What is fake
Were your words just for my sake?
As you do what you do
Each day, another question
Each day, another pain
Each day, another doubt
That’s slowly driving me insane
You made me love you
Made me want to have faith
Trust is a commodity
Built on belief
That your thoughts and words meet
But your actions are speaking louder
And I don’t know what to believe
You say it’s not real
You say you don’t feel
But I see an unspoken truth
That comes through in the visual
And I know what I feel
In the question remains
Are we the fake ones?
Was our relationship ever real?
